Retreats

Self-Led & Facilitated

Are you looking for a space to pause, breathe, and reconnect?

Our retreats offer a gentle invitation to step away from the busyness of everyday life and spend intentional time with God.

Whether you choose a facilitated experience or a self-led journey, each retreat is designed to create space for reflection, renewal, and deeper connection with your Christian faith.

Through a blend of Lectio Divina, creative practices, gentle movement, prayer, and opportunities to simply rest and soak in the Spirit, we nurture spiritual wellbeing and encourage participants to reconnect with God, themselves, and others.

Taking time away from the demands of daily life can bring renewed peace, fresh perspective, and a greater awareness of God's presence and guidance.

Each retreat is thoughtfully adapted to the needs of the group and setting, whether held in a church, retreat centre, community venue, or outdoor space.

Our aim is to provide welcoming and restorative experiences that support spiritual growth, encourage reflection, and offer opportunities to encounter God in meaningful and life-giving ways.

Check out our recent retreat

We recently had the privilege of spending the day with the clergy women

of the Swansea and Brecon Diocese at Llangasty Retreat House.

It was a beautiful day of connection, reflection, rest, and shared fellowship.

Self Led

Withdraw & Explore

A space for ANYONE to pause, rest, and renew through listening to our inner voice, seeking direction from the Spirit, and being inspired through creative exercises in the beauty of the Gower peninsula. Simply come as you are.

Whether you lead a team, sit in the pews, or are just looking for a moment of peace - this retreat is for you. Join us as we connect and refresh our minds, bodies, and spirits.

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Through creativity, reflection, and making, participants are invited to explore their faith, connect with what brings them joy, and express their experiences of God in new ways.

How to create your retreat

Start by choosing a date that works for you, allowing enough space to fully step away from daily routines and enter into a slower, more reflective rhythm.

Once you have a date in mind, please email the project lead,

Rach Bright, at wowadmin@churchinwales.org.uk

to check availability and confirm arrangements.

As you begin shaping your retreat, take time to consider which of the three pathways you would like to explore. Each pathway offers a different way of engaging with wellbeing, creativity, spirituality, and nature, so choose the ones that resonates most with where you are right now. You may prefer to focus deeply on one pathway or gently weave elements from more than one.

You will also want to decide how you would like your retreat to be supported. Some people value having parts of their time facilitated, with gentle guidance, reflective prompts, or creative activities offered. Others prefer a more self-led experience, moving at their own pace and following their own reflections. You may wish to choose a blend of both, creating a retreat that feels personal, restful, and meaningful for you.
