Local artists wanted for our next exhibition at
St Mary’s Church, Rhossili.
Our theme is “New Beginning: A Sense of Gower” exploring renewal, hope, and the beauty of the Gower landscape.
Whether you’re a sculptor, painter, writer, poet, photographer, or any kind of creator, you are welcome to join.
This exhibition centres on the theme of New Beginnings.
Artists are invited to explore ideas of expectation, hope, direction, and vision, alongside the beauty of Gower its landscapes, wildlife, and the connections we share with one another and with nature.
We also welcome artworks that reflect elements of Christian faith and how faith can inspire, renew, or speak into moments of starting afresh.
A sense of Gower: its coastline, hills, wildlife, and the spirit of its communities.
Nature and connection: how life grows, renews, and how our relationships, pathways, and stories evolve.
Reflection: Each piece should include a short thought or reflection to encourage visitors to pause and consider themes of hope, expectation, and new direction.
We welcome all forms of creative work.
If you are to hang art work, all boards must be A1 in size and have holes in the two top corners or be light enough to be held by gallery clips or alternatively they can be presented on an easel.
If your artwork is three‑dimensional or sculptural, please consider how you would like it to be displayed and inform us of any specific requirements.

The art show is free entry for the public and artists are not required to pay a fee for submitting their work.
One piece only.
For the safety of all visitors, no hazardous, flammable, toxic, or otherwise unsafe materials may be used in artwork. Please ensure all work is safe, stable, and suitable for a public setting.
Artists may suggest installation preferences, but the WoW team will place all artwork with the safety of the building, congregation, and public in mind, ensuring displays do not obstruct regular worship
Will there be an opening event?
Yes, we will host a launch event at St Mary’s in May [Date to be confirmed]

Please be mindful that the church is an historic medieval building that may not offer the same support features as modern spaces regarding accessibility. However, St Mary's is one of the few churches in the Gower area that offers accessibility.
We receive a wide range of visitors—including worshippers, community members, tourists, and people from diverse backgrounds—so audience needs should always be considered.
